Berlin TV Tower

Berlin’s TV Tower is one of the city’s most well-known sights and, soaring 368 metres into the sky, can be seen from almost every part of the city. With more than a million visitors a year, the structure is one of Germany’s top ten attractions.

Constructed from 1965 to 1969 by the GDR’s Deutsche Post in the Park am Fernsehturm, it was opened in October 1969. Its primary function is to act as the site for multiple radio and TV transmitters.

The tower is truly worth a visit: simply take the lift 203 m skywards to the viewing floor to enjoy a fantastic, 360-degree panoramic view of the entire city. In addition, the revolving Restaurant Sphere offers delicious fare and refreshing drinks at a breathtaking altitude.
